Greg Simpson has been named Chief Nursing Officer of St. Joseph Medical Center. Simpson returns to St. Joseph, where he served as the director of the Heart Institute from 1998 to 2007. He went on to serve as a nursing leader for regional HCA hospitals and, most recently, as an assistant professor at the University of Central Missouri.
Simpson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri and a Master Degree in Health Care Administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb.
“It’s great to be returning to St. Joseph, which I consider my professional home,” says Simpson. “It’s even better because this is such an exciting time of change and growth for St. Joseph. I am honored to be able to have a part of it.”
