KANSAS CITY, MO., Dec. 19, 2023 ― The Pulmonary Physicians of St. Joseph (PPSJ) is pleased to welcome to its team Tariq Musa, MD, a pulmonologist with more than 13 years of medical experience. Dr. Musa is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine, practicing most recently at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System in Hutchinson, Kansas. Dr. Musa graduated from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine in 2010. He completed his residency at the Atlantic Health System in Morristown, New Jersey and his Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship at the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Dr. Musa treats a variety of lung-related illnesses, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary emphysema, bronchitis, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung nodules, pleural effusion and obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Musa has a special interest in lung cancer screening. He performs EBUS and navigation bronchoscopy to diagnose lung cancer at early stages. He also has special interest in placement of endobronchial valves to help pulmonary emphysema patients who remain symptomatic despite inhalers and pulmonary rehabilitation.

In addition, Dr. Musa will work as a critical care physician caring for critically ill patients admitted to the hospital’s ICU.
