St. Joseph Medical Center tied for fourth in the Kansas City area in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals metro area rankings.
U.S. News & World Report evaluates nearly 5,000 hospitals across the country and recognizes hospitals in major metropolitan areas with a record of high performance in key medical specialties. To be ranked in its metro area, a hospital had to score in the top 25 percent among its peers in at least one of 16 medical specialties.
St. Joseph was recognized as having a high performing gastroenterology services. In addition to the metro ranking, it was named among the top ten hospitals in the state of Missouri.
