Kansas City, Mo—Michael A. Dorsey has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer at St. Joseph Medical Center and Chief Operating Officer of Carondelet Health. Dorsey brings more than 25 years of senior-level health care experience to St. Joseph and Carondelet Health, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Providence Medical Center in Kansas City and Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan. Prior to that role, he held administrative positions at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka, Kan., including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Network Development.

Dorsey is a Fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives and Chairperson-Elect of the Kansas Hospital Association. He earned his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s degrees in Medical Technology from Wichita State University.
Dorsey resides in Olathe, Kan., with his wife, Susan, and their four children. He will start at St. Joseph Medical Center and Carondelet Health on Monday, October 3.
