St. Joseph Medical Center will host a special community heart health event, “Don’t Break Your Heart – Keep It Healthy,” on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Alex George Auditorium (Building D) on the hospital’s campus, located at 1000 Carondelet Drive, Kansas City, Missouri. Designed to educate and empower the community, the evening will focus on heart disease awareness, prevention, and lifesaving skills.
Led by Francisco Lammoglia, MD, cardiologist, the event will cover essential topics including the facts about heart disease, warning signs of a cardiac event, and practical dietary tips for maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle. Attendees will also have access to blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as Hands-Only CPR and AED training, providing valuable tools to respond confidently in emergency situations.
The event is free and open to the public, with limited seating available. A light dinner will be provided. Community members are encouraged to RSVP in advance by contacting Lisa Raunig at lraunig@primehealthcare.com. While no official certification will be issued, the program offers important education and hands-on learning opportunities to support heart health and overall well-being.
