Pain Clinic

Chronic pain is a complex medical problem that can have profound effects on a patient’s physical and mental well-being. At St. Joseph Medical Center’s Pain Clinic, our goal is to help decrease patients’ levels of pain and suffering and help restore their quality of life. The Pain Clinic is a fully integrated, comprehensive pain management clinic equipped with state-of-the-art treatment options. We provide a variety of interventions and therapies for numerous conditions that can cause pain. Each patient is treated on an individual basis in a caring and compassionate environment. Services are available as an outpatient. Physician Referral is required for pain clinic services.

Types of Pain Treated

  • Back and neck pain, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis and neuroforaminal stenosis

  • Post back-surgery pain

  • Cancer pain

  • Chronic abdominal pain

  • Chronic pelvic pain

  • Complex Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome or (CRPS) also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy or (RSD)

  • Muscle and joint pain

  • Disorders of the nervous system, including shingles and trigeminal neuralgia (facial pain)

  • Myofacial pain syndromes (fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, polymyalgia rheumatica)
  • Intractable spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injuries

  • Pain associated with osteoporosis and vertebral compression fractures.

Our board-certified physicians and advanced practice nurs are highly trained in a variety of specialties to provide total pain management.

The physicians work closely with registered nurses and specially-trained ancillary personnel to provide comprehensive care to patients.
