Before Surgery
Before surgery, patients in the Joint and Spine Institute at St. Joseph Medical Center receive a comprehensive orientation packet outlining how to prepare for surgery, what to expect on the day of surgery and during recovery. Additionally, patients meet with the program coordinator. This pre-admission visit provides ample time for participants to ask questions as well as discuss preparation for and recovery from total joint replacement.
