St. Joseph Medical Center began construction this month to make way for the return of Healient Physician Group to the hospital campus in a $3 million relocation project. As part of the ongoing turnaround of the award-winning St. Joseph’s Medical Center to provide world-class healthcare to the local area, Healient will move into the newly renovated and state-of-the-art facility after a six-year off-site affiliation with the hospital.

Healient’ s 40 full-time employees, including all eight of its physician specialists and five mid-level providers, are expected to move into the Kansas City 16,644 SF facility February 1, 2020. Healient Physicians Group is a well-known name in Kansas City as a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac, wound care, and vascular disease. Healient’s mission is to care for each patient as if they are a member of our own family.

“Our physician specialists boast decades of experience in their respective fields,” says Matt Bible, Administrator of Healient Physician Group. “We will continue to focus on providing every patient the targeted, personalized care and quality outcomes they’ve come to expect from us.” Services include state-of-the-art diagnostic and minimally-invasive treatment of heart and vascular conditions. Additionally, the area’s newest hyperbaric treatment facility for various conditions including difficult to heal wounds will be available.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back Healient Physician Group to our campus,” says Jodi Fincher, CEO. “This much-anticipated relocation will streamline patient care to provide greater efficiency, convenience, and collaboration.” Fincher adds the closer proximity to both the Emergency Room for cardiac emergencies and to the Cath Lab for inpatients and urgent cardiac catheterizations are a few examples of the upcoming expected benefits.
