Scott Corcoran, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Corcoran is the Chief Medical Officer of St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Corcoran attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency from Tuffs University at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Corcoran is also our Emergency Department Medical Director and Stroke Medical Director along with actively working as an Emergency Physician. Prior to joining St. Joseph Medical Center, Dr. Corcoran was the EMS Medical Director for Lucas Fire and Rescue in Lucas, TX and Medical Director of the Emergency Department in McKinney, TX. Dr. Corcoran has been instrumental in the changes in our stroke program and efficiencies in our Emergency Department. Dr. Corcoran is responsible for managing the medical staff and providing safe, effective medical services to the community. He has a strong passion for building a culture within the St. Joseph medical community centered on communication, compassion, quality and efficiency so our patients receive the highest level of empathetic care as efficiently as possible.
