Lorie Herrman MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CPAN is the Chief Nurse Officer for St. Joseph Medical Center.
She provides executive leadership and strategic direction for all patient care services including nursing practice, performance improvement, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, laboratory, dietary, and radiology. Lorie started her career as an ICU RN and has been in a variety of clinical and executive leadership roles including Surgical Services Director, Chief Nursing Officer, and Regional Chief Nursing Officer. Lorie has demonstrated success with fostering resilient teams capable of delivering safe quality patient care, developing staffing models that sustain hospital census, and implementing best practices for efficient hospital throughput. Lorie served as President of the Kansas City Area Nurse Executive board in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, and facilitated information sharing to help area hospitals navigate all the rapid changes. She also has served as President of the Missouri Kansas Perianesthesia Nurses Association. She is a board certified Nurse Executive (NEA-BC), and Certified Perianesthesia Nurse (CPAN).
