Jodi Fincher, CEO

Jodi Fincher has been named CEO of St. Joseph Medical Center. Before joining St. Joseph Medical Center, Fincher was the Regional Director of Nursing, Midwest Division for Prime Healthcare.
Ms. Fincher started her career as a nurse tech in the Emergency Department at Saint John Hospital Leavenworth KS, in 1987. Upon completion of her Associate in Nursing Degree (ADN), she went to work in the Intensive Care Unit at Providence Medical Center where she worked for the next 11 years specializing in the care of post open heart patients. During that time, she advanced her degree, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Kansas and achieving her Critical Care Nursing Certification (CCRN). In 1999 she accepted the position of Director of Nursing at Saint John Hospital where she worked for the next 10 years while also continuing to work in the ICU. During this time, she completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Saint Mary. Over the years, Ms. Fincher also coached women’s high school and AAU basketball and was adjunct faculty in the University of Saint Mary’s School of nursing, both of which were extensions of her passion for teaching. Ms. Fincher all has been active in the Kansas City Critical Care Association, teaching multiple courses in cardiac pathophysiology, EKG interpretation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Trauma Nurse Certification, and Pediatric Life Support. In 2013, upon the sale of the hospitals to Prime Healthcare, Ms. Fincher accepted the position of Chief Nursing Officer/Administrator of Saint John Hospital. In 2015 she was promoted to Regional Director of Nursing for Prime Healthcare’s Midwest Division, overseeing clinical operations and regulatory readiness for nine Midwest Prime hospitals. In 2016, Ms. Fincher was promoted to the CEO position at St. Joseph.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, their five children and three grandchildren. She has a love for outdoors, mountain climbing, and all things sports.
