Kansas City, Mo. – Ben Mizrahi, MD, recently joined the medical staff of St. Joseph Medical Center. He specializes in colorectal surgery with special interest in cancer staging techniques and laparoscopic, minimallyinvasive removal of rectal and colon cancer. Dr. Mizrahi’s other interests include incisionless removal of low-lying rectal lesions using transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM), complex anorectal disorders and repair of pelvic floor disorders such as constipation, incontinence, rectocele and prolapse.
Dr. Mizrahi earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of South Florida. He also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colorectal surgery and advanced rectal cancer management at the Marks Colorectal Clinic at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pa., and a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Colorectal Clinic of Orlando in Florida.
Dr. Mizrahi is practicing with Colorectal Surgery Associates on St. Joseph’s campus.
